Dual Device Concept - Bongo IoT

We are enhancing our GPS tracker system with a convenient new feature known as the primary and secondary object concept. This feature simplifies the process of linking GPS devices for improved tracking and management.

What it Does:

Setting Up Objects:

• GPS devices can now be designated as either primary or secondary.
• Secondary devices automatically adapt the details of the primary device.
• Additional features like video telematics can be incorporated into secondary devices for expanded functionality.
• Each primary device can be linked to only one secondary device.

Dashboard and Live Tracking:

• Secondary devices are excluded from the main tracking view for a cleaner interface.
• Special features like Video Telematics, including live streaming and playback, are available depending on the configuration of the secondary device.
• If a secondary device becomes inactive, its camera features will be deactivated.

Reports:

• Reports concentrate on the primary device, providing only the most crucial information.
• Secondary devices are still included in system logs for reference.

Changes for Mobile Users:

• Setting Up Devices: The mobile app now allows you to designate a device as primary or secondary.
• Dashboard View: The mobile dashboard displays only primary devices for a neater appearance.
• Reports: Reports exclude secondary devices, presenting data only from primary devices.

Benefits:

• Multiple GPS devices can be connected to a single object, offering greater flexibility.
• The main view remains clean with only primary devices displayed.
• Obtain the information you need without unnecessary clutter.

Multi-Object Path Comparison in Playback Module – Bongo IoT

We are upgrading our Bongo IoT platform to enable users to compare the paths of multiple objects in real-time during playback. Here’s what you need to know:

Users can now access the “Compare Path” option under Live Tracking in the Map list. This option opens a dedicated screen with a side list view of vehicles and path settings.

Path Comparison Features:

• The side list view will include checkboxes for each vehicle, displaying the plate number and vehicle name.
• Users can select multiple objects from the list (up to 10) for path comparison.
• A color picker will be integrated to highlight the paths of the selected objects. Users can customize the color according to their preferences.
• An eye icon will allow users to show or hide the paths on the map.

Benefits:

• Enhanced Analysis: Users can analyze the paths of multiple objects side by side, enabling better decision-making.
• Improved Visualization: The color-coded paths provide clear visualization, making it easier to identify and compare routes.
